Bioregion of Tâmega e Sousa

The territory that reinvents the future

We have been working to turn this territory into a bioregion and to create the conditions for its integration into the IN.N.E.R. - International Network of Eco Regions since 2020.

 

A bioregion is a geographical area in which organic farmers and producers, the community in general, tourism operators, associations, educational institutions and local and intermunicipal authorities establish an agreement for the sustainable management of local resources, based on the organic production and consumption model.
